Versatile Lipizzaner of the Year - the "201 Siglavy Capriola Zingoalla" Award

The "201 Siglavy Capriola Zingoalla" Award seeks to recognise horses and riders who are successfully competing across a range of disciplines. Entry into this award is automatic when you enter the High Point competition. A horse and rider combination will become eligible for a "versatile" ranking if they have competed over three or more disciplines.

The award is named after the inaugural winner of this title, 201 Siglavy Capriola Zingoalla. "Kakan" really could do it all. Before prematurely gaining her wings, Kakan won 3 gold medal at the Swedish National Jousting Championships, was reserve champion at the Agria Gold Cup Working Equitation Finals, and consistently placed in dressage, showjumping, sporting and western. Kakan truly embodied the spirit of the LipiData Versatile Lipizzaner of the Year.

A "versatility score" is calculated by adding together the top two results for each discipline you compete in. For example, if a horse and rider has competed in 8 dressage tests, 5 driving events, 2 endurance rides and 1 halter class, the versatility score is the sum of the LipiData High Point points for the top 2 dressage tests, top 2 driving events, the 2 endurance rides and the 1 halter class.

To help you select the correct discipline on the results submission form, here's a list of disciplines for the purpose of this competition:

  • Breed – led and ridden breed classes and placings at Lipizzaner breed evaluation days including classes such as led Lipizzaner gelding and ridden Lipizzaner mare not exceeding 15hh.
  • Combined Training – competitions where the final result is determined based on the combined result of a dressage test and a showjumping round.
  • Dressage
  • Driving
  • Endurance
  • Eventing
  • Halter – turnout and presentation classes, led hack, hunter and galloway classes.
  • Patrouille
  • Pony Club – all events and classes conducted under Pony Club rules
  • Show Horse – ridden hack, hunter and galloway classes, rider classes, lunging and long-reining classes, horse-and-handler classes, and similar
  • Show Jumping
  • Sporting – pole bending, barrel racing, flag race, keyhole race and similar events.
  • Trail Riding & Hacking - submit proof such as Strava or GPS tracking screenshots.
  • Western – western pleasure, trail classes, showmanship, youth classes and western dressage.
  • Working Equitation
  • Working Horse – working cow horse classes including team penning, team sorting, cattle penning and similar events.
  • Reining
