LIPIDATA’s purpose includes maintaining and publishing pedigree, breeding and historical records for research, educational, genealogical, breed preservation and database integrity purposes.
The purpose of this privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") is to inform users of our Site of the following:

- Who has access to collected data;

- Our cookie practices.
This Privacy Policy applies in addition to the Terms and Conditions of Sale.

LIPIDATA may process information relating to animal pedigrees, breeding records, ownership records, breeder details, stud information, competition results, historical records and user-submitted corrections or updates.
LIPIDATA may collect personal information from publicly available sources, breed registries, studbooks, competition records, historical publications, breeder organisations, owners, breeders and other lawful sources where reasonably necessary for the maintenance of accurate pedigree and breeding records. Such information may include call and registered names, stud names, breeder details, ownership information, competition results and historical records.
Information contained within the database may originate from publicly available studbooks, breed registries, historical publications, competition records, breeder submissions, owner submissions and other lawful sources.
Where personal information is associated with a database record, LIPIDATA may process, retain and publish that information where reasonably necessary to maintain the accuracy, integrity and historical continuity of pedigree and breeding records.
Submission of information does not transfer ownership of intellectual property rights held by the submitter. However, by submitting information, users grant LIPIDATA a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, store, adapt and publish submitted information for operating and maintaining the database.
LIPIDATA maintains records for genealogical, historical, research and breed preservation purposes. While reasonable efforts are made to ensure accuracy, information may originate from historical records and third-party sources. LIPIDATA does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of every record and encourages users to submit corrections where inaccuracies are identified.
Automatically collected data is used for:
- Site visitor statistics; and
- Site content optimisation.
We may disclose data to authorised personnel who reasonably require access to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
Other Disclosures
We will not sell or share personal data except where:

If a child under 16 years of age has provided us with personal data their parent or guardian may contact our privacy officer.
